Web based One Click Safelists
Update (02.05.2004):
What happened to all the recommendations?? [learn

PRIVATE -FOR PROFIT- SAFELISTS
Web based One Click Safelists are private, that is they
are created and administered by individuals on their own
servers, or rented servers as opposed to Free "Listservers"
which were not administered by individuals, instead they
were administered by a company like Yahoo. Yahoo would
give anybody (the public) the right to use their listservers
to host a list, however in the end Yahoo has all right
to them -scary.
As you will soon see Web based One Click Safelists come
in all shapes and sizes, but most of them work in the
following way:
- You join the safelist by filling out a form at the
safelists web site providing your name, email and other
info
- A confirmation message gets sent to your email. You
must click on a link inside the email to confirm that
you want to be part of the list (same as with listservers)
- Then depending on what kind of safelist it is you
can logon into the members area of the safelist website,
enter your ad and click the send button. All these steps
are done through your web browser
TYPES OF WEB BASED SAFELISTS
As we mentioned before, there are several types of Safelists
available. The listing below will detail the differences
of each and includes recommended services / products (IF
we have found them to be reliable and deliver as promised).
Recommended site will have a note (i.e.
*RECOMMENDED)
- Web based One Click - Free Only Membership
There are not a lot of these around, because anyone can
join for free and the owner has no real way to make money
off of them. I would not recommend these as they are usually
used and abused -mainly by SPAMMERS.
- Web based One Click - Paid Only Membership
These safelists allow only paying members to join and
require a small monthly or yearly fee. These are usually
a little more responsive than free safelists, but the
drawback is that they cost money and there is no way to
test them out before joining.
For more info, see below...
- Web based One Click - Paid Membership with a Free
Member Option
When you join as a free member, you will not have access
to all features and/or you will only be able to post a
certain number of times in a given timeframe. Most of
the time it’s only being able to post to the list once
a week instead of every day and/or being able to post
to only a subset of the entire list. The benefit is that
you get to TEST the list before buying!
Paid members usually get benefits like being able to
post everyday to the entire list, not getting return emails,
or only getting emailed by a small fraction of all the
members (usually only other paying subscribers). Other
benefits often include higher referral commissions and
ad tracking.

- Web based One Click - with Downline
These lists are similar to the One Click Free or Paid
Membership lists, but they mainly differ in their commission/referral
plans, which makes them more like multi-level marketing
[MLM] --meaning that you get paid commissions down a certain
number of levels. You get paid a certain amount if one
of your downline sign-up for the paid membership. The
pay structure usually goes down 3 or more levels. Programs
with 2 levels are known as two-tier and are not generally
considered as MLM.

- Web based One Click – Credits based system
You can send your ad to the list only if you have enough
credits, so usually how it works is that for each credit
you can mail another person. You usually get a certain
number of credits to start (i.e. 1000 credits). So, let's
assume that entire list has 3000 members, then you are
only able to mail 1/3 of the list once. After your credits
are all used up, you have to earn more if you want to
send another message to the list.
For more info, see below...
- Web based One Click – Pay to read
This is a variation of the Web based One Click – Credit
system, which basically works the same way only you can
earn credits by reading each email that gets send to you.
The moderator starts you off with a smaller amount of
credits, but you can earn credits quickly by opening others
email and clicking on a special link inside the email
that takes you to the advertisers site, only after you
click this link and visit the site will you get credited.
This method has a good response rate because people get
something for clicking on your link, BUT your site has
to be VERY well done to KEEP their attention.
For more info, see below...
- Web based One Click - Monthly Give Away
This is yet another variation of the Web based One Click
- Credit system. These list have also put random links
into the emails sent from the members of the safelist,
however if you find a link instead of gaining credits
you either instantly win cash, or you have a get a chance
to instantly win cash.
