Creating an "autoresponder series"
Quick Autoresponder Overview
An autoresponder is an emailing program that is designed
to collect emails and then send out a series of pre-written
emails to the subscriber list on a schedule that you pre-define.
The value in this is that you can offer freebies, information,
and "soft-sell" to your potential customers
over time. It's a known marketing fact that it takes an
average of seven (7) contacts with a potential customer
to turn them in to a customer (for tough decision type
of items). So, an autoresponder lets you follow-up 3,5,7,10,
or more without having to manually keep up with it all.
Automation is the key to success of any online venture,
so an autoresponder would, therefore, be central to any
successful online campaign. That's not to say that without
an autoresponder, you can't succeed. But, an autoresponder
in most cases will make any campaign significantly more
effective.
Autoresponder Uses
Alright, so you're ready to dive into "autoresponders",
eh?
First, let's pick a topic for your free report/email
course series. Keep in mind that the closer your free
report/email course series is tied to the product or biz
opp you are trying to promote the better response you
will get. For instance, we offer a free ebook on Internet
marketing and it in we recommend trusted vendors that
help us in our business day-to-day. By the way, linking
to your recommended product/service using your affiliate
link from within an ebook is a type of "viral"
marketing. More on viral
marketing.
If you are promoting a unique traffic building service,
you could create a report on traffic building tips, link
popularity, or search engine ranking. If you didn't notice
yet, we have done this exact example ourselves and it
is very effective.
Most successful campaigns use a series of 7 or so articles.
They do not have to be too long (remember that your recipients
do not want to spend a lot of TIME to read anyway), but
they should be packed with good, real-world tips. Even
better is to relate these tips to real-life examples that
you employ in your own marketing strategy.
You can write your own articles from scratch, pay someone
on www.guru.com $10 per article to do it, use posted articles
(as long as you leave the "resource box"), or
even piece together articles you find on the web. With
the last idea, however, be careful to not resemble any
given article too closely or it will be construed as plagiarism!
Here is the basic rule of thumb:
Copying one person's article is plagiarism, but copying
multiple people's articles is "research."
You should try to interweave your links (to what you're
recommending) within the 7 articles. Try to be clever
about this and get opinions from random people as to what
part of the article makes them want to buy and then place
a link there. Remember to test different scenarios and
go with what works best. You want to keep putting your
links throughout your articles and it's best to have more
than one product/service to recommend for variety.

your own autoresponder; then you should check out our
